Announcements

RLCM Church Directory: We are planning on working on putting a RLCM Church directory together.  There are forms that you can fill out with your name, address, phone number, and email address.

Catechism: We will be meeting for Confirmation at Christ Lutheran Church on Gastown Rd this year for all the classes.  Our classes are on Wednesday from 5:00 pm with dinner and end at 6:30 pm.  If you would like to know a schedule please talk to Pastor Joyce or Pastor Matthew.  

Bible Studies: There are four opportunities in the RLCM for Bible Study.  Pastor Matthew has Bible Study on Thursday at Christ Rupp at 1:00 pm, and at St. Mark's on Thursday at St. Mark's at 6:30 pm.  Pastor Joyce will have Bible Study on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm at Christ Lutheran and on Saturdays at Country Junction in Smicksburg.  (They have buckwheat cakes) Come and Join us.
Christian Mom's Group: We are excited to announce a new group that we are starting...Christian Moms!  Because when life gets messy you need someone to get coffee with and talk about Jesus.  If you would like to be added to the Facebook page please message Morgan.  We hope to see lots of moms and kids come out to our events!  

Current Specific Church Events

Christ Rupp:

-Fellowship breakfast after church the second Sunday of the month.

-Congregational Meeting: There will be a congregational meeting immediately following worship on Sunday, November 16th for  the purpose of electing members to the Church Council and Cemetery Board for 2026.

-November Thank Offering Calendar: The Thank Offeirng Calendar that is enclosed started November 1st.  This is a fun way to donate to the Armstrong County Community Action Turkey Program.  All money received is donated to the food banks throughout Armstrong County.

-Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes: National Collection Week is Nov. 17-24, 2025.  Do Not Pack soap, candy, toothpaste, gum, used or damaged items, scary or war-related items, seeds, food, liquids or lotions, medications or vitamins, breakable items or glass containers, aerosol cans.  There will be shoe boxes and labels provided on the back table.  Any questions, please see Myrtle, Brenda, or Carilynn.  DO NOT put the $10 shipping in  your shoebox.  We have received money from Thrivent to cover the shipping, and a label will be placed on top of your shoe box.  Please have your box (boxes) to the church by November 23rd. 

-Communion Luncheon: will be held on Thursday, November  20th  at 11 am. All lunches will not be "potluck", so please bring a covered dish or dessert to share.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Please note the change from Wednesday to Thursday.

-Sunday School Teacher's and Officers Meeting: will be held on Wednesday, November 5th at 1 pm in the church basement.  Please try to attend.
- Christmas Pointsettias: It is time to order out Christmas Pointsettas.  Complete the order form found in your bulletin today and give to Ruthie by November 16th.

St. Marks:

-Pumpkin Rolls: We will be selling Pumpkin Rolls with and without nuts for $11 each.  We will be making them on November 22nd.  Orders can be picked up at Church on November 23rd. 

-Thanksgiving Fellowship Meal: After church on November 16th.  Please bring a covered dish or dessert to share.  The church will be providing turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and gravy.

-Helping Hands: This year for Helping Hands we are going to be helping out the Mechling Shakley Veterans Homes.  This year we are not only collecting money, which will go towards buying fresh produce for the home.  The money can be placed in the offering plate closest to the organ.  We are also going to be looking for the following items.

-Sunday School Teacher: We are looking for someone interested in leading a children's Sunday School class before church on Sundays.  If you are interested, please reach out to Pastor Matthew.  Pastor Matthew will provide the curriculum for the class.

-KMA Thanksgiving Service: The Kittanning Ministerial Association will be hosting a Thanksgiving Service on November 23rd at 7 pm at Cornerstone Assembly of God.

-Continuation of the Annual Meeting: December 7th after worship.

Christ Gastown/Mt. Union/Salem:
- Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes: You can donate a shoe box for Operation Christmas Child, with a shipping cost covered by Salem's Sunday School if returned by November 16th.  The opportunity to participate in the Greatest Journey with the lessons about Jesus.  Boxes are located in the front of the Church, and labels are provided.  There are lists provided to help you shop and what is not allowed to be in the boxes.  They are on the Sunday School Table.  Please take one to help you shop. 

 - Congregational Meetings: will be on November 23rd, following worship.  At Salem, they will be having a Thanksgiving Meal after the Congregational Meeting
